Basically we started TTC in 2007. I started charting my cycles and found I wasn't ovulating and had PCOS. No surprise really since I got my period every 60-90 days. In 2009 We started seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist. We learned that my husband has severe male infertility. That paired with my PCOS sent us directly to IVF. One cycle of IVF, a chemical pregnancy, and two FETs later, we finally had not one but two babies.
Just with TTC, pregnancy was not easy. The first 24 weeks went off without a hitch, but at a routine U/S we found that my cervix was very short and I ended up on bedrest. I was a good patient and followed the doctor's orders, but three weeks later my cervix was even shorter, funneling, and I was have regular enough contractions to end up in the hospital for two weeks.
I was able to keep my girls cooking for another 6 weeks and on March 19th, 2011 at 35 weeks to the day, I delivered Nadia Josephine and Scarlett Grace just ten minutes apart. At 5 lbs 13oz and 5lb 7oz, they were a healthy weight and had no breathing issues. Their only struggles were eating and
